Final Weeks of the Pinterest Challenge

Remember that Pinterest Challenge we started way back when? Well, Sara and I got a tad behind on it but there was no chance we weren’t finishing the challenge! My last 3 projects were one’s I really wanted to have a go at. Even though I’m not sure yet if some were hits or misses I’m glad I at least tried. Have a look!
WEEK #4: Balsamic Glazed Steak Rolls
These streak rolls from Picture The Recipe just looked so savory and fancy when I saw them on Pinterest I pinned it instantly but never got around to trying them. Turns out they are easy to make and are delicious! My lesson learned: put the toothpicks in right the first time so you don’t have to redo them mid-cooking so you can actually flip them.
These steak rolls even got a two thumbs up from my husband! Score!

WEEK #5: Black and White Wordphrase Art
This was my first time doing anything with canvas and painting for that matter. I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about the finished product yet. What do you think? Does it look like something a 5th grader did? I might give it another go, but I really love the concept and want to do more!

WEEK #6: Tissue Paper Pom Poms
Basically this pin inspired me to use the tree I made as our yearly “Thankful Tree” for everyday decoration by putting other things on the branches. I still might try these tissue paper pom poms one day on it, but for know I decided to hang some gold leaves on the branches to go with some of the other metallics in the room.
If you wanted to see the tutorial for the Thankful tree you can check it out HERE.
Don’t miss Sara’s finished projects tomorrow! Also make sure to check out all the Pinterest Challenge projects from our fellow bloggers who joined with us in these Pinterest Challenge!
