Friday Finds #12: Father’s Day

Father’s day is right around the corner and for the first time we are bring some inspiration to you early for what to do for all those amazing father’s out there! Sara and I are both pretty last minute planners so 2 weeks in advance is looking pretty good on our end not to mention these are all things that can be thrown together last minute…totally our style!
Being as my family will actually be staying with my parents on Father’s Day it got me thinking of what would “dads” really like without being too cheesy or giving them things they really don’t want. I decided that planning and cooking a relaxing, low key dinner with big taste would be perfect to all come together and celebrated having an amazing dad! And what better for that than a shrimp boil!
This recipe actually came from my husband’s side of the family. Since having it, it’s become one of our favorite meals considering you just throw everything into a pot to boil and then spread it out on some newspaper and eat; no plates or utensils required.
I would have to say a shrimp boil paired with these other recipes, eaten outside in the backyard on a warm, Sunday evening sounds like the perfect Father’s day celebration.
As for some actual gifts, here are some ideas we found that we love and would be great for involving the kids.
Free Father’s Day Printable’s from “Confetti Sunshine”

Father’s Day Card and Coupons from “Living Locurto”

Happy planning! ~ HANNA

Friday Finds #10: Swimsuits

Finally it’s Friday! Has anyone else had a week where all you could do is just count down the days to the end of it? That was my kind of week with 2 very cranky kids and the hubby being away for work. I’m looking forward to a long, relaxing weekend enjoying some sun and BBQ’s.
Speaking of sun and BBQ’s, summer is right around the corner and I don’t know about you, but our summer is going to involve lots of swimming and water activities. Therefore, Sara and I wanted to put together a round up of some of our favorite swimsuit finds

1. Sail Away Maillot Swimsuit | at Downeast Basics
2. Peplum Yellow-dot Tankini Top | at Lime Ricki Swimwear
3. Polka Dot Crewneck Swim Tee | at Lands End
4. Sassy Stripes One-piece Swimsuit | at Beverly Swimwear
*This girl makes and sells her own swimsuits and they are all SO cute! Definitely worth checking out!
* A little more on the pricey side but also another cute site with very original swimsuits
6. Homemade Polka Dot Ruffle Tankini | by Miranda at One Little Minute
If you’re on the look out for a one-piece or more modest swimsuit you are in luck because that seems to be the latest fashion tend. It seems like a couple years ago it was near impossible to find a one-piece swimsuit or even a longer tankini top. Now in just about any store you can find something that will work, in many different styles, patterns, and colors; the questions is just which one to choose?!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Friday Finds #8: Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

However, since I’ve become a mother I’ve gained a whole new meaning of “holidays”. I want to use these holidays to create fun memories with my girls and do something a little special as a family. At the same time, the thought of decorating every inch of my house in shamrocks and the color green and making these elaborate recipes as well as coming up with gifts for everyone we know isn’t something that gets me excited as a busy mom. In fact it’s VERY overwhelming.
If you’re like me and you’re a mother chasing kids all day while juggling 50 other things or are not a super crafty person, you’re going to LOVE today’s finds as St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner!
